With the Getting Started service we’ll provide you with everything you need to start writing and publishing your own content on the web.

A New Site

We’ll create the framework - your blog, or website, or content management system - for you to start publishing and updating your own content on the web. To get you started with confidence we’ll keep it simple, but make sure you’ve got everything you need to get going. The price includes:

• A blog based website, set up with your group or business name, ready for you to use
• Contact page: a contact form, and links to your phone & e-mail
• About page: introduction to you, your organisation or business
• Services page: information on services and products
• Articles page: where you can add new posts and articles to keep your site up to date
• One year’s hosting on the web

Skills, Training And Support

We’ll work with you to:

1. Review what kind of material you want to publish online (and why)

2. Clarify your goals to make sure the solution you choose meets your needs

3. Work through any blocks and barriers that might be holding you back (like lack of confidence in your writing style, anxiety about using IT)

4. Identify the most appropriate blogging option for you

5. Create an action plan for you to get your blog up and running

6. Provide you with a list of tips and tricks to help you get the most from your new blog

7. Help you create the core content for your site (that explains who you are and what you do)

8. Provide you with ideas, prompts & suggestions articles that you can start to publish

9. Give you constructive feedback on your writing style & content to get you started with confidence

10. Support you for the first month: e-mail support to help you get through any teething problems

The cost of the package is £300: the easy and affordable way to start publishing on the web.

NOTES:

This price assumes use of a free Wordpress theme: price will increase accordingly if you wish to add more power with a professional theme (for cost of theme + additional time to construct the site)

If you’re setting up your own site, or paying for someone else to set it up and design it for you, but still want someone to work with you to help you get started with confidence - no problem! The cost of the stand alone support service is £150.
